This is an ancient culinary treasure dating back to the 1500s when the nuns of the Martorana Convent in Palermo created these sweets to adorn the fruit trees in their garden for an important autumn visit.
Join us on this journey to discover a dessert that is much more than just a sweet treat! We will share with you the secrets of its preparation: from creating the almond dough to the skilled hands that shape and paint each piece to make it so realistic it appears almost real.
