SCIACCA’S ACHOVIES – FROM SEA TO JAR

In Sciacca, Italy’s 4th port for its fleet size and the quantity of its catch, what is the best way to learn about its sea history?

In our opinion, it the best way is to be accompanied by a family

which for four generations has worked with the brilliant blue fish of our sea. With them you will discover how their life follows sea and nature’s rhythm and how the fish is processed, salted and preserved to allow you to taste Sicily through each anchovy fillet.

To accompany you on this journey,in addition to the Curreri family, there will also be all those women and men who have been doing this job all their lives.

PORTA SAN SALVATORE
