DEADALUS AND HIS BATHS

Mount Kronio with its strong currents of hot air is the place where perhaps Icarus, the son of Daedalus, fell due to the melting of the wax that held the feathers together and formed his wings. It is a less famous version of the legend of Icarus.

His father Daedalus, a famous Athenian architect who had built the labyrinth of Crete for King Minos, instead landed safe and sound among these hills. And here, with his ingenuity, he created spas to channel the sulphurous vapours with legendary therapeutic properties.

A legendary healing experience that you too can try among vapours, landscapes and the discovery of Mediterranean plants.

PORTA SAN SALVATORE
