Lorem Ipsum is a placeholder text used in the typesetting and printing industry. It has been considered the standard placeholder text since the 16th century, when an anonymous typographer took a box of type and assembled it to prepare a sample text. It has survived not only for over five centuries but also through the transition to desktop publishing, arriving to us essentially unchanged. It was popularized in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing passages of Lorem Ipsum, and more recently by desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker, which included versions of Lorem Ipsum.
